THE FOOTBALL MUSEUM OF CREMONA, A DREAM OF THE FOUNDATION
Football is the national sport; it is a passion that traverses age, sex, culture, income and social class.
It has a history of more than 100 years. Much more, if the origins of Florentine football are considered.
It is an integral part of the culture and the pride of our nation.
Immense interests are invested both on a social and entertainment level as well as on a business level which has modified the Italian lifestyle over the course of years.

This is without even considering what the sport represents in countries such as: Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain, Germany, and France as well as what it is becoming in Japan, China and Africa, only to make some examples. In this context, the Football Museum of Cremona intends to be a fundamental meeting place for museum enthusiasts in general and football enthusiasts in particular, but also to activate the curiosity of a public that is passionate for culture in the broad sense, a worldwide reference point, and a place of devotion. The Football Museum of CR would like to demonstrate all of the general, particular and “behind the scenes” aspects of the world of football by maintaining it alive and dynamic. A visit to the Museum must present the thrill and amazement of seeing live the unforgettable international, national and local moments linked to the history of football, such to provoke the desire to return or to recommend the experience to other people. |

The interpretation, the refinement of the objects, the images, and the possibility of constant interaction must evoke an emotion so intense in the visitor that it makes him feel isolated within an immense game. The absolute protagonist must be Football and its history made of: Rules, Events, Episodes, Objects and Personal History. The emphasis is on its positive values, the businesses, the victories, the defeats, the testimonies, and the memories while also attempting to contribute to re-launching of the image of the game of football.
THE MUSEUM OFFER IS BASED ON 6 POINTS
• the environment: the external and internal structural parts.
• the objects, the collections and the images
• the material necessary for the communication and the interpretation
• subsidiary programs: conferences, sporting, social, and charitable events, entertainment
• the services
• the organization of the time, activities and the experience of the visitor.
The content of the Museum, divided into to sections/themes, will be for as much as possible continuously updated. The concept being that in a Football Museum that has the ambition of being no. 1 in the world, all of the aspects and the particulars of the sport must be included: all that is not known and all that is not seen. Important motivations also include the desire to learn something and to see things that are so beautiful that is makes them alive or revives strong emotions, including, for example, the sense of emotional participation in events that have characterised our history. Particular attention will be given to the spectacular nature, the interactivity and multi-media.

For this purpose, we seek with every force possible to be completely transparent externally and to focus on achieving the objectives that we have posed.
